Canadian Programs - Supporting Vulnerable Seniors
par HelpAge Canada - Aide aux Aînés (Canada)HelpAge Canada is committed to creating a world in which all people can age with dignity. Since 1975, we have supported national and international initiatives that improve the lives of older persons – from offering digital education sessions to responding to natural disasters, we serve as a champion for the community-based senior services (CBSS) sector, offering our resources, connections, and expertise to the on-the-ground organizations who work hard to improve the wellbeing of older persons in communities at home and around the world.
HelpAge Canada National Programs
HelpAge Canada supports older Canadians from coast to coast to coast, particularly those who are underprivileged, marginalized, or struggling with loneliness and isolation. We work alongside a network of community-based senior serving organizations to meet the needs of older persons, empowering them to age in place by providing the social and practical supports they need to do so. Our initiatives fall under four key programs:
Seniors Can! Granting Program
Digital Literacy Initiatives
Men's Mental Wellness Granting Program
Age-Friendly Transportation Initiatives
Together with organizations across the country, HelpAge Canada is listening and responding to older Canadians to ensure they have a voice and a choice in Canadian society.
